Food Safety Program Auditing and Written Advice (QLD only)

In Queensland, certain food businesses are required to hold an Accredited Food Safety Program with their Local Council. Such business include:

  • Onsite caterers,

  • Offsite caterers,

  • Childcare Centres,

  • Respite Centres,

  • Meals on Wheels,

  • Hospitals,

  • Nursing Homes; and

  • Other high-risk food establishments.

These businesses must ensure that their Food Safety Program is audited by an Approved Third-Party Auditor at intervals determined by their Local Government (usually every 6-12 months). The purpose of this Audit is to ensure that the business is meeting the requirements of their Food Safety Program and that all records related to the Program are kept and recorded correctly.

NQ Environmental Health Services have Approved Food Auditors (approval number FSA/0307) who can Audit your Food Safety Program at competitive rates and submit to your Local Council to meet your statutory requirements.

Unlike many other Auditors, a fully qualified Health Inspector with extensive Government experience conducts the Audit, so you can be satisfied that your business is in safe hands.

We can also offer Food Safety Program Written Advice, as required by your Local Council, to support your Food Safety Program Application for Accreditation.
